Requirements
- A USB flash drive with at least 8 GB capacity
- The Arch Linux 2025 ISO file
- The Rufus application (Standard or Portable version)
Important: The USB drive will be formatted during this process, so back up any important files before proceeding.
Step-by-Step Guide
- Open your browser and search for Rufus. Visit the official website and scroll down to the Download section. Choose either the Standard or Portable version; here we’ll use the Portable version.
- Insert your USB drive into the computer and launch Rufus.
- In the Rufus interface, under Device, select your USB drive.
- Under Boot Selection, click Select and choose the Arch Linux ISO file.
- For Partition Scheme, select GPT or MBR depending on your target drive and system. The Target System will adjust automatically to BIOS or UEFI (for MBR) or UEFI (for GPT).
