Issue 1: iVentoy Fails to Launch on Windows
- Cause: Missing runtime dependency.
- Fix: Download and install the latest Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable (x64). iVentoy requires these libraries to run backend processes.
Issue 2: Clients Freeze at Requesting IP or Fail to Boot
- Cause: DHCP conflicts, firewall blocks, or NIC incompatibilities.
1. Fix DHCP Conflicts
- In the iVentoy Web GUI, go to Configuration and ensure your DHCP Server Mode matches your network:
- Internal: Use if no other DHCP server exists. Ensure IP pool does not overlap with router.
- ProxyNet: Use if your router already handles IPs. iVentoy delivers PXE boot paths without disrupting the network.
- Toggle the Secondary DHCP option if required. ProxyNet is recommended for most third-party DHCP setups.
2. Switch the UEFI / Legacy Boot File
- If the default boot file fails, change to
ipxe.efioripxe.pxefor better hardware and NIC driver compatibility.
3. Open Firewall Ports
- Ensure firewall allows PXE traffic. Required ports:
- 67/68 UDP – DHCP Server Port
- 4011 UDP – DHCP Proxy Server Port (Proxy/ProxyNet mode)
